‘Because we have lived, and still live on’

On August 17th, the museum has opened the exhibition ‘Because we have lived, and still live on’ – Literary Perspectives on Indonesian Independence in its Gallery.

The exhibition addresses diverse perspectives on the decolonization of Indonesia and shines light on stories and archive material from the first, second, and third generation of writers, of whom their life histories are connected to (de)colonization. Because the consequences of this are still palpable.
