New in the Supervisory Board of the Museum of Literature/ Children's Book Museum

Rashid Azimullah and Marjolein van Breemen have been appointed members of the Supervisory Board of the Museum of Literature / Children's Book Museum; in addition to these two newcomers, the council consists of Martijn David, Yra van Dijk, Martine Schaap and Koos van der Steenhoven.

Rashid Azimullah (1966), (co-)author of Gebakken Cloud and Goede RAAD voor Commissarissen, has gained a lot of experience, during his more than 25-year career in the Netherlands and abroad, as a business economist, manager and director within the disciplines of strategy, business, innovation, marketing & sales, digital transformation and business operations.

 

He is currently the director of the Stichting Expertisecentrum Oefenen.nl. This foundation is a major provider of blended learning (online exercise material with workbooks) for (digital) basic skills. He is also a board member of Amerpodia of the Amsterdam theaters De Rode Hoed, Felix Meritis and De Nieuwe Liefde.

 

Marjolein van Breemen (1975) is Deputy Director Program at NEMO Science Museum. She is responsible, among other things, for developing the long-term strategy and artistic policy, the collection and the substantive programmes. As deputy director, she is part of a three-member management team.

 

Van Breemen is an expert in the field of (family) education, diversity & inclusion and has extensive experience in cultural entrepreneurship and fundraising. She has (inter)national board experience, including as a member of the Ecsite board, the European Network of Science centers Museums.
