Talent in the picture

Storytelling in pictures: how do you do that? Stroll past their original, personal illustrations and get inspired by these 10 visual storytellers.

For anyone who would like to create their own picture book, graphic novel or drawn journalistic story, illustrator Ellen Vesters founded the Venster Academy in 2022, with the Visual Story course. 

 

After being taught intensively by renowned writers, illustrators, colourists, cartoonists, and designers from the Netherlands and abroad, the first batch of students completed this in-depth illustrated-storytelling course in late 2023. This exhibition showcases their work.
